A baby! I can’t believe it. Since we found out in October, time seems to have flown on by. We kept the little secret all to ourselves for the first few months which definitely made this experience that much more special (it probably didn’t hurt with making time go by either).
We are waiting to find out the gender at delivery, so I’ve been stocking up on cute neutral clothes and putting the finishing touches on our nursery!
Merik had NO IDEA I could be pregnant and I for sure thought he was catching on. I had surprised him a day after finding out for myself that we were pregnant, and it’ll forever be a special memory! I remember going throughout our day trying to figure out how to be normal–everything just felt so surreal.
Bump Pics
As far as nausea and pregnancy sickness goes–I was lucky to not get too bothered by it. The physical changes were a bit more difficult with a lot of nerve and back pain! Nothing compares to the last few weeks of pregnancy though, ha! Would happily take my 20 week bump over a 40 week one. 🙂
Time absolutely flew. I’m not sure if it was a combination of all the wild events that happened in 2020-early 2021 or just lucky enough to be distracted by life, but June came quicker than anticipated. Winter was a fun time to dress the bump with chunky sweaters, but I quickly became too large for 98% of Merik and I’s clothes by April. God bless Anine Bing and her t-shirt dress that I’ve been living in the last few months.
Babymoon
We took a quick babymoon to Oahu in March which was so fun! Everything was still a bit strange with Covid-19, but we were lucky to be able to travel safely and have a last little hoorah. (Some other swimsuit-bump photos snuck in here.)
Putting together the nursery has been so fun! We did wallpaper ourselves (10/10 would NOT recommend–pay the big $$$ for someone to do it) and it turned out so cute. Babyletto was kind enough to send us the cutest crib and chair that perfectly fit what I was going for! I’ll have to do a nursery tour on here after we put the finishing touches in.
